Social Distance Sessions: The Clarinet Guy
Social Distance Sessions is a virtual concert series curated by Pittsburgh-based flutist Zoe Sorrell. SDS is connecting musicians and audiences during the COVID-19 crisis.
Those of us that make a living through performing music are facing unprecedented difficulty at this time. Not only have artistic projects close to our hearts been canceled but our primary sources of income have been closed off.
Social Distance Sessions is here to help. Musicians will present live streamed performances right here. Virtual tip jars will be made available through the TIPT app, or musicians may choose to share their Venmo or CashApp information. Musicians will also have the option to donate any tips received to organizations fighting COVID-19 and that information will be made transparent here ahead of time.
It is our hope to provide some connection and entertainment for our now-isolated communities. Although tips are welcome, we understand that many people are facing financial hardship right now, so please feel free to tune in even if you are unable to contribute.
SALAZAR WILL BE PERFORMING HIS SOLO CLARINET + ELECTRONICS SHOW: SOUL SEARCH
Soul Search takes the audience on a journey that explores sonic possibility by blending unconventional electronic sounds with clarinet techniques. Whether it’s heavy metal distortion or a simple delay pedal, this performance will inspire you with boundary-pushing clarinet sounds.
Eric Salazar, The Clarinet Guy, will be live streaming a performance from his living room focusing on performing his original compositions for clarinet + electronics.
